Sheer Usage Policy

This shows the policies made for Oitswilliam Pang's Sheer made for Minecraft. By using Sheer 2017 or visiting Sheer Dedicated Server, you agree to Sheer Usage Policy. Sheer (classic, 2015) does not apply here and uses Legacy Projects policy instead.

Admins in Sheer Dedicated Server, including Oitswilliam Pang, may reserve rights to temporarily enable or disable building modes, open or close viewer to builder upgrade form and change game modes for viewers to either adventure or spectator mode. However archived versions available to followers on GitHub do not apply such rights.

If you feel unfortunate for getting banned in Sheer Dedicated Server, except for unfollowing, but rather due to usage policy violations, or do not believe you have violated such policy, you can request here for an appeal, also known as unban. Please note that you can only use this appeal once, during your first ban only, and your appeal may be denied anyways if you have been banned more than once, caught using some type of unfair advantages, behaving offensively, if any, or building materials that are not safe for younger ages (see Building section). You can still surf around Sheer 2017 offline if you are banned for basic violations.

We do not accept unbanning via money or getting unbanned by buying. It is an illogical ransom.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: SHEER DEDICATED SERVER IS NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT SERVER. IT IS NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.

Definitions

1. Minecraft comes with two editions, Java Edition, which is the original, and now is explicitly shown, and Bedrock Edition, which won't show what edition. We call them the "game". Sheer Dedicated Server is made for both versions of the game, whereas the archive of Sheer 2017 for offline use is currently only made for Java Edition.
2. In this document later on, we will call Sheer (classic, 2015) "classic Sheer" and the archives of Sheer 2017 "Sheer 2017 for offline use" or just "Sheer 2017". Sheer Dedicated Server will be called either as-is or its acronym SDS.
3. First-time requirements are sets of requirements that you have to do when doing things just for the first time.
4. "Viewer" is a term in which users in Sheer Dedicated Server can only view around, but prohibited interactions.
   
5. "Builders" is a term in which users in such a group can build and interact. See the Building section below for the list of policies apply.
   
6. "Follow" in this policy is a term in which the user is showing them following Oitswilliam Pang in other platforms, or subscribed in YouTube. "Unfollowing" means those who are not going to follow Oitswilliam Pang ever again, including getting blocked / suspended or have the account deleted.
   
7. Unfollow-then-re-follow is a move that users will first unfollow and then re-follow, for like an example trying to get their ban evaded. Please note that this does not work in Sheer Dedicated Server and some other servers.
   
8. "Mods" in this policy means community modifications, which adds or changes functionality of the thing that normally won't be seen.
   
9. "Vanilla" in this policy means stock / normal version that mostly only be modified by the provider.
   
10. "Building" as a section is a term that means someone can build.
    
11. "Punishments" is a set of rules for both admins and users that prevent them from using if they violate policies.
    
12. IP Ban may ban innocent players in the same public IP address some of the rule breakers are at. Some may use ranged bans.
    
13. This usage policy applies to users who are not yet following Oitswilliam Pang. This includes the last-platform previous followers.
    

Sheer Dedicated Server streams are allowed to be distributed to watchers who are not following Oitswilliam Pang in either or any platforms. However there are limitations that people must respect: You, whether as Viewers or builders, are not allowed to reverse-engineer, build or distribute the entire world of Sheer Dedicated Server / Sheer 2017, or parts of it, including buildings or features, to people who are not following Oitswilliam Pang.

First-time requirements

Note that classic Sheer does not require this list of requirements.

You should agree that you must be a follower or subscriber of Oitswilliam Pang in any or all platforms and has opted-in the follower-exclusive perks before gaining access to Sheer 2017 and Sheer Dedicated Server in Minecraft. Sheer Dedicated Server is an additional opt-in form that require your Minecraft username in order to be joined, whereas gaining access to Sheer 2017 for offline use does not require joining in Sheer Dedicated Server or filling in your Minecraft username.

You must agree that unsubscribing or unfollowing Oitswilliam Pang in the last platform you are following will delist you, prevent you from accessing Sheer 2017 for offline use and / or joining Sheer Dedicated Server in the future, among other things. However, leaving OITSWILLIAM PANG Discord chat server does not prevent you from obtaining Sheer 2017 for offline use or joining Sheer Dedicated Server.

If you re-subscribe or re-follow Oitswilliam Pang after unsubscribing in less than 48 hours once, you are not required to manually re-fill the form. However it depends on whether it is set up or accidental.

You may not use another of the game account linking the same / similar account to join or re-join Sheer Dedicated Server, you may not evade bans for punishment reasons by using the method called unfollow-then-re-follow.

Client requirements

For connections to Sheer Dedicated Server via Java Edition of the game, Use vanilla, whitelisted modded clients, such as Optifine, Badlion (pronounced bad-lion) or Forge with whitelisted mods. These are the only whitelisted clients. Unlisted clients are prohibited and some of their features should be avoided.
For connections to Sheer Dedicated Server via Bedrock Edition of the game, vanilla is the only version we are permitted.

For Sheer 2017 for offline use, the latest version of Java Edition of the game is recommended, no matter the mods.

Archive updates

This section only applies to Sheer 2017 for offline use.

Offline archive for Sheer 2017 will be updated on Oitswilliam Pang's GitHub repository Sheer-2017 once Sheer Dedicated Server receives updates of the build before down.

Mods

This section only applies to Sheer Dedicated Server.

In Java Edition of the game, the whitelisted mods are Replay Mod, Optifine, shaders mods, and Armor HUD. If your mod was not listing here, you may need to disable it.

Mods for the game in Bedrock Edition that gain unfair advantages are prohibited and should be avoided, such Bedrock Edition players are advised to use vanilla versions of the game.

Chatting

This section only applies to Sheer Dedicated Server.

You are not allowed to force admins for, or trick them to get higher-end privileges including operator rights.

You must not act badly such as swearing, excessive use of negative words or use of naughty words. Violations related to this will receive in normal punishments applied under Breach and Punishments section.

You may not spam, advertise or promote unrelated materials, including but not limited to other servers for the game. Violations related to this will only receive in permanent ban that cannot be appealed.

Building

This section applies to builders in Sheer Dedicated Server. Builders are the higher-tier option which is available via the same request form. You will receive Builder rights if the request succeed.

You must agree that you should not be disruptive to other users. You may not vandalize other people's builds, including but not limited to destructing them or dumping things unnecessarily to others. Normal punishments apply if the staff members find out that the activity is to be destructive to others.

You are allowed to create your own rules, but for safety reasons, Sheer Usage Policy will always be enforced in top priority. Therefore, you may not create sections of rules that allow users to break Sheer Usage Policy. Staff members, including admins, may ignore your rules when they are doing administrative works. You may not enforce your rules to others, especially strangers in-game, due to their limit, although we will not punish for these.

You may not spawn excessive amount of mobs, although we tolerate up to 100 mobs per person. Normal punishments apply if the staff members find out that the goal of summoning mobs is to be malicious.

You should agree that you are not allowed to build inappropriate materials that are either graphic, unsafe or not suitable for younger ranges. Normal punishments apply if the staff members find out that the material is inappropriate.

When lower-tier users are in adventure mode, you may avoid giving them items.

Leaving Sheer 2017 and Sheer Dedicated Server

Users who want to leave Sheer Dedicated Server from their existence (or opt-out from SDS) is allowed. But please note that you must be joined SDS for at least 90 days to opt-out. When you want to opt-out, you need to be kept following Oitswilliam Pang in either platform. You can opt-out if you are banned, but it will not remove your ban. You cannot opt-out if you have unfollowed Oitswilliam Pang.

You can request us to remove your structures via one-click request, but it is required to remove your inventory from SDS. When the request is successful, your username will be hidden to others on structures you have built to other players. You are allowed to join back at any time after 3 days, and your username will show back to others if the structures weren't removed.

To opt-out from Sheer 2017 for offline use, you cannot opt-out as a standalone, and instead must opt-out from alpha-EA.

Breach and Punishments

Oitswilliam Pang reserves rights to punish players or revoke their access whose intent is to breach in or violate such policy made for Sheer 2017 and Sheer Dedicated Server.
Sheer (except classic Sheer) has normal punishment systems. One of it is made for unfollowers, which is the same as alpha-EA, and which prevents them from accessing if they have found unfollowed Oitswilliam Pang in any platforms linked, and in SDS, structures built by them will have [STALKER] at the beginning of their names. Besides this, users who offend normally in SDS, such as, misbehaving, may receive various punishments:

1. Kick: This will occur if the user caught by admins broke a section of the rules for the first time.
   
2. 10-day ban: This will occur if the user fails to follow the rules, They can be banned with the same duration up to 3 times if they caught breaking after 15 days of ban expire, if possible. They can appeal to remove ban (known as requesting an unban) if they are banned only for the first time.
   
3. Permanent ban: This ban occurs if the user never follow the rules, caught failing to follow the rules again within 15 days after the ban expired or caught failed following the rules after successful appeal (also known as unban request) within 21 days.
   
4. IP Ban can occur if the admins of Sheer Dedicated Server caught someone abusing accounts to violate policies.
